What is Workman's Compensation?
- Workers' compensation is a form of insurance providing wage replacement and medical benefits to employees injured in the course of employment. Employees injured on the job should seek immediate emergency care in the case of serious injury.
What should I do if I've been injured?
IntelyCare has a dedicated Workman's Compensation line that injured IntelyPros should call. The Nurse on Duty can be reached at 1-866-323-4227. When asked, provide our account number #12307.

What should be done in case of sharps/bodily fluid exposure?
- If you experience a needlestick/ SHARPS injury or were exposed to blood or other bodily fluid of a patient/ resident during the course of your work, immediately follow these steps:
- Seek medical attention at your nearest medical facility.
- Wash the needle stick/ cut with soap and water.
- Flush splashes to the nose, mouth, skin (whatever area was contaminated) with water- if applicable.
- Irrigate your eyes with clean water, saline, or sterile irrigate - if applicable.
- Report the incident to the Supervisor on duty.
- Follow any facility interventions listed on their policy.
- Contact the Workman's Compensation line and IntelyCare to inform us of the incident.
